Montreat College Has A Secluded Mountain Campus

This small, Christ-centered, liberal arts institution enrolls close to 1000 students who are interested in deepening their faith while pursuing one of the 24 majors and 60 minors or concentrations. The core curriculum focuses on intellectual inquiry, spiritual growth, and preparation for calling and career.

I visited the 43-acre main campus nestled at the foot of Greybeard Mountain and surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, not far from Asheville, N.C., and found it to be a quiet, peaceful place to study for the approximately 700 traditional students. There are a variety of extracurricular activities for students, including an opportunity to participate in any of the 22 NAIA varsity teams.

Montreat College prioritizes providing a high-quality education without excessive student loan debt and 99% of students receive institutional aid. The wide range of scholarships available include merit scholarships, athletic scholarships, and need-based aid. There is also no cost for admissions applications.

Each student has their own path to pursue and for those interested in a Christian education, this may be one option to consider. Confident College Planning works with families and students to assist them in focusing on their own personal criteria and maximizing their success in the college planning process.
