More Options, No Extra Cost! Save During Free College Application Week!

Updated: Mar 6, 2023

Did you know that many colleges and universities have an application fee? Those can really add up if your student is applying to the average 5-10 institutions. It makes sense for students to apply to a variety of colleges in order to have options, but wouldn’t it be nice to save the $250-$500 on those fees?

Some students can get those fees waived due to financial need or if they are being recruited by a college and given a fee waiver code, but many students have to pay for each university they apply to.

The good news is that some colleges never charge an application fee and others offer a Free Application Week in the fall during which they waive their usual fee. Be sure to have your student do their research and time their applications in a way that saves on those fees!

Right now the State University of New York (SUNY) system is offering free application weeks from October 24th through November 6th. Students can complete five SUNY applications, using either the Common App or the SUNY application, at NO COST (a savings of $250)! With SUNY's 64 colleges and universities all across the state of New York, students have many options.
